Biography

Kevin was born in Tulsa on 11.15.76 He grew up in Owasso where he tore up the dirt racing bikes, wagons, go-carts, hot wheels and dirt bikes. He spent his weekends at Tulsa Speedway. Kevin has many talents, he scales tall buildings daily as a water-proofer, entertains family and friends with funny stories and he juggles. He enjoys softball, the outdoors and spending time with his girlfriend Amanda and her son JoJo. Kevin and Amanda were blessed with a bundle of joy (a daughter) in September. Racing has always been a family tradition. Kevin grew up in the garage helping his father, Tom, racer for over 35 years. His mom, Janice, owns the racecar and is his biggest fan. Other fans include his two sisters, Kimberly and Angela, niece Ashlee, girlfriend Amanda and his children JoJo and KaylaAnn. The pit crew consists of nephews Austin and Garrett, brother-in-laws Jeff and Chris, Mike and Kevin's father Tom as the Crew Chief. Kevin is a second generation racer and received the honor of being Rookie of the Year 2008 and Most Improved Driver for 2009 for Creek County Raceway and plans to continue is career in racing for many years to come. Here is an exerpt from Creek County Raceway Website when Kevin made the "news". "KELLYVILLE, Oklahoma (June 27, 2009) - For the second time this season the sprint cars raced topless at Creek County Speedway and that seemed to suit Evan Sewell and Kevin Cummings just fine. Racing without the top and nose wings on the open wheel sprints, Sewell led start-to-finish and Cummings turned in a career best second place finish. As Sewell paced the field rookie Nathan Campbell gave chase for the first six laps. Cummings passed Campbell and chased after Sewell. But Sewell was not to be denied his second victory of the season and Cummings was not fall behind."
